A trip to Naran, Kaghan, and Shogran

River-Swat

To mention and capture the beauty of nature is not that easy as it is the thing to be felt and when we talk about the beauty of Pakistani Northern areas, it is something different and quite impossible. One cannot get the real charm of the grace of these areas, yet we have come with a small guide for those who never went there and are inquisitive to visit them. Let’s see further how these parts took the most charm among the rest of the world and are popular worldwide and how to travel safe there

Note: The Naran, Kaghan Valley is almost 160 kilometers long and lies alongside the Kunhar River. If you cannot get a hold on yourself longer and want to visit it anytime soon then read ahead and go straight to plan up for the trip.

Is there any specific month or time to visit?

The months between March and June are considered to be the best times in which to Tour to Naran Kaghan. The temperature ranges from 5° to 33° at maximum. This is an ideal time to explore the valley and surrounding areas. You can get to see the alluring scene of snow fall (if you cannot bear much cold I recommend you to travel after May when the snow starts to melt, and the valley turns into a soothing shade of green which puts any traveler into a dream-like sequence. Plan your trip accordingly so that you can take advantage of off-season prices.

What to pack?

Packing Up:

Make sure you take a durable and spacious backpack in which you can pack warm clothing, umbrella, sun block cream, lip balm, waterproof jacket, head covering, sleeping bag, water bottle, thermos, torch, a Swiss knife, and sturdy shoes. If you are thinking to do hiking, have some multi-vitamins with you to build your immune system strong.

From where to start the journey?

You have to take your first stop at Islamabad and after arriving at Islamabad you will have to travel to Abbottabad, after that catch a bus to Mansehra and hire a solid Toyota (you can get a reasonable driver if you wish to travel in a mediocre vehicle) and he is enough to take you through the journey. After departing from Mansehra you will arrive at Kewai which is the central hub for travelers going towards Shogran and Naran.

Take a rest at Kewai and pack your bags with snacks as little would be available between Kewai and Shogran. The road leading to Shogran is exciting as it is very steep and runs through stunning pine forest covered hills. But be careful because you are here to enjoy the moment not to fade away with it.

Shogran:

After reaching Shogran stay at it for 2 days and cool your eyes with natural beauty. There are plenty of hotels available at decent rates. Pro tip: Book your hotels in Shogran in advance via Sastaticket.pk and save yourself from the hassle and extra expenses.
